This Festival’s goal is to promote awareness and social consciousness of disease as a life process, helping to remove the burden of stigma endured by the sufferers of many diseases. Furthermore, this Festival seeks to stimulate artistic audiovisual creation, in order to make these health conditions visible on a larger scale and to share knowledge about these diseases with the world.
The Festival is divided into three categories: Animated Short Film, Documentary Short Film and Fiction Short Film. Experimental Short Films can also be accepted within any of the former categories, if they meet this festival’s thematic objectives.
Any piece made prior to the deadline can be presented, with the exception of those with previous commercial exhibition and/or TV distribution.
The maximum length of the shorts must not exceed:
Documentary: 30 minutes
Fiction: 20 minutes
Animation: 10 minutes All participating films must be submitted in original version, if the original language is different from English or Spanish, they must be subtitled in either of these two languages.
